Rhode Island State Senator Victoria Gu Announces Re-Election Bid
I’m excited to announce that I’m running for re-election to continue fighting for South County families. Over the past term, I’ve worked to expand shoreline access, protect seniors against fraud/scams, secure additional climate resiliency funding, expand mental health resources for students, and make emerging technologies safer for Rhode Islanders.
There is still more work to do. My priorities for the next term include improving access to healthcare through community paramedicine and Food as Medicine initiatives, reforming for-profit utilities like RI Energy, and securing funding to upgrade Westerly Station to give us more frequent, affordable transportation options.
Before I can get on the ballot this November, I need your help collecting 100 signatures from voters in District 38. If you’d like to volunteer to help gather signatures, sign up at victoria4ri.com/volunteer. You can also show your support by requesting a lawn sign at victoria4ri.com/lawn-sign. Thank you for being part of this campaign and helping us keep South County a place where local families can afford to stay and thrive. Victoria Gu, June 23, 2026
